My name is Tim White (most people know me as T.White). My love for bikes started at just eight years old, watching my dad bring a Schwinn cruiser back to life. That moment set me on a path that would shape everything I do today.

I left school early and chased an endless summer, working between a bike shop in Vancouver and a bike wholesaler in New Zealand. My life revolved around bikes – whether riding them or working on them.

In 2008, I founded T.White’s Bikes, a shop that’s still around today, helping New Zealanders get rolling on two wheels. While I’ve since moved on from ownership, those years were pivotal in building my understanding of the cycling world.

Driven by a deep love for bike culture, I launched Badd Optics – a brand born from my obsession with vintage Oakleys and my mission to create Cycling Optics that blend classic style with modern performance. Working with one of the top factories in China, I spent years perfecting the Badd Optics 855 series, bringing MTB Goggles and BMX eyewear to a new level of clarity and durability.

Since the early days of Badd, it’s become about more than just eyewear. We’re here to celebrate cycling culture and help more riders discover the magic of the ride – whether on dirt jumpers, pumptrack bikes, or gravel adventures. Through unique events and our bold art, we’re constantly pushing to make cycling part of your DNA.
